Representative Matters

Business Litigation

  • Representation of a clinical laboratory in connection with regulatory litigation.  We recently obtained a dismissal of Medicare revocation and debarment penalties, reversing the denial of numerous reimbursement claims.

  • Representation of a corporate client for the purposes of conducting an internal investigation into alleged violations of environmental and workplace safety regulations.

  • Representation of a business owner in his individual and corporate capacity pertaining to the minting of NFT’s.

  • Defense of a commercial landlord in his individual capacity in a two-week bench trial.  We obtained the outright dismissal of all claims, including claims of fraud, before closing statements were presented.

  • Representation of third-party defendants in a shareholder dispute.  The claims against our clients were dismissed.

Criminal Defense

  • Representation a home contractor charged by the Attorney General with second and third-degree theft offenses related to allegations of fraud in connection with Superstorm Sandy. Our client faced 10 years in state prison.  After conducting an internal investigation, and submitting a series of compelling mitigation submissions, which included analysis of the State’s own discovery and the results of our extensive investigation through OPRA requests and otherwise, the matter was resolved through a diversionary program and the charges will be dismissed and expunged.

  • Defense of an OSHA-certified trainer charged with extortion.  Our client received a non-custodial sentence of probation.

  • Representation of a pharmacy owner in connection with an investigation by the U.S Attorney’s Office.  Our client was never charged.

  • Representation of a construction company in connection with a federal grand jury subpoena focused on suspected criminal activity.  Our client was never charged.

  • Representation of a state-employee charged with insurance fraud.  On the request of the prosecutor, the charges were dismissed.
